Even when home prices dip, it&#039;s usually not enough to balance out those rising financing costs. So, holding out for a &#039;cheaper&#039; home doesn&#039;t always mean you&#039;ll pay less overall.<\/p>\n<p>That said, there are still real chances to negotiate, especially in neighborhoods where we&#039;ve finally got a bit more inventory and sellers are working harder for every offer. For military and VA buyers, it&#039;s more important than ever to look at the full picture: what you&#039;re paying now, what your loan terms look like, and where you&#039;ve got room to negotiate\u2014not just the interest rate on paper.
